What makes Blockchains safe?

The security of a blockchain is strongly connected to its decentralised nature. Decentralisation means that there isn’t one single point where all transactions are stored, unlike in a bank for instance.

Every piece of information is divided into “blocks” , so it’s impossible for someone or something to hack into a blockchain and potentially steal your information and cryptocurrencies.

To this day, the Bitcoin blockchain has never been hacked or overtaken.
